Unexpected Encounter

 Life's been a whirlwind lately. It all started when I met this guy—just a chance encounter, but it quickly turned into something more. We dated for about a month, and during that time, I found out he owned a law firm. One day, half-jokingly, I asked if he had any openings, and to my surprise, he offered me a job.

I took it, and honestly, I ended up really liking it. The work, the environment, the people—it just felt right, like a comfortable fit I hadn't expected. Now, I find myself at a crossroads, wondering if it's time to leave engineering behind for good. It’s strange how life can shift so unexpectedly. Maybe it's time for a new path.

Okay, so here's part two of the Pandora's box. After diving deep into some shadow work, I finally started to understand why that moment hit me so hard. Turns out, he bears a striking resemblance to my biological father—like, 20% similar. And that's where things got all tangled up in my head. It felt like this weird father-daughter moment, you know? I know, I sound totally bonkers, but hey, that's what TikTok therapists are for, right? Though, yeah, maybe I should consider talking to a legit psychologist. So, today's my birthday, and guess what? This morning, I went and sprained my ankle. Yep, talk about bad timing, right? I texted him about it, and honestly, he was pretty shocked. I mean, I totally messed up our birthday plans. But you know what? He was super patient with me, like surprisingly patient. I'm not sure why he was being so sweet to me. It's kinda throwing me off.
